By Zainab Al Nasseri — MUSCAT: Dec. 18: The Ministry of Social Development has refuted rumours that a nursery in Seeb had drugged a baby under its care. Specialists from the Child Affairs Department visited the nursery and found there was no truth in the rumour spread through the social media. The specialists said the baby’s mother too had denied these rumours. The social media was rife with rumours that a babysitter at the nursery had added a drug pill into the milk in order to put the baby to sleep, and that the mother learned about it later. The ministry called upon the public to get information from right sources and not to spread false news. It said child safety at the care centres is a priority, and it is keen to keep a watch on them through constant visits and evaluations.
